Fib Dems say Bah Humbug to Christmas Day Off

Who could forget the immortal scene in A Muppet Christmas Carol, where Michael Caine's Ebenezer Scrooge tries to get Kermit the Frog's Bob Cratchett and his fellow employees to come in to work on Christmas Day?

Unfortunately in the Scottish Parliament yesterday a few muppets decided to vote against a Bill to close large stores on Christmas and New Years Days.

While the Bill itself is by no means perfect, it seems rather crass to vote against it at Stage One rather than seek to amend it.

Sadly, Iain "Scrooge" Smith, Mike "Cratchett" Pringle and Jeremy "Tiny Tim" Purvis had other ideas.

Christmas Day off?!?! Humbug!!!!

Comments:
Interesting. And yet don't Lib Dem headquarters shut down over christmas and new year? One rule for one and one for everyone else.
