Leith Fibber in Green Bonanza

Not only has Mr Crockart got problems with his calendar, but his green credentials appear to have been dealt a rather savage blow.

Mr Crockart and his fellow Libs have put out a newspaper calling for a "greener Leith".

Only problem is the paper was printed in Exeter, some 450 miles away from Leith.

Think of the carbon emissions it must have cost to transport it to Leith?

We here at Fib Dems would be delighted to hear from anyone else out there who has discovered that their "Local" Lib Dem paper doesn't quite do exactly what it says on the tin.

Comments:
As if Labour prints all its leaflets locally.

Typical whinging Labour. Trying to avoid the real issues which show them as failures.

In Manchester Labour does print all its leaflets locally. Using a firm owned by a refugee to boot. All the other parties - i.e. including the Greens and Respect - print many many miles away at least some of the time. The Lib Dems have started putting stuff on their Riso produced stuff explaining that all the parts of the machine are recycleable. Doh. Like made of steel and the like? Hurrah!

Comrade Phil is right of course - this is a bit petty - but it is the Libs and the like making a point of blagging their greeness. The fact they are without principle on "print miles" does in fact translate into a microcosm of their general unprincipled behaviour on most everything else.

They are certainly spreading it around a bit! The mid Scotland & Fife 'reporter'- a Fib Dem fictional publication - which claims to be "delivered free of charge to residents throughout Stirling, Ochil, Perth, Fife & North Tayside" was printed in Peterborough.

I wonder where in Mid Scotland or Fife that is?
